Greet guests and perform registration procedures.
Provide guests with appropriate and profitable room assignments. Issue room keys and escort instructions to Bell Attendants.
Verify guests' credit, and establish how the guest will pay for the accommodation.
Post charges (e.g. telephone calls, food, valet parking, transportation shuttle, etc.) to guest accounts.
Present guests with an accurate account balance at time of departure. Collect payment for services rendered.
Assist guests with issues and complaints, exercising judgment as to supervisory involvement. Answer incoming calls from guests as required.
Maintain a house bank of predetermined amount. Balance house bank at the end of each shift.
Maintain current information in the Reservations system. Answer incoming calls from guests and potential guests to assist with reservations as required.
Maintain accurate logbooks of mail, packages, parcels,_and miscellaneous items for delivery or pick-up.
Maintain current knowledge of local area, attractions and events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Previous guest service and cashier experience preferred. Strong communication skills required for guest interactions. Must be fluent in verbal and written English. Basic computer and typing skills required.
