I would like to sell these fabulous vintage CORAL speakers to someone who would truely enjoy and appreciate them. These are amazing, the sound is unbelievable! I can tell ya if you like the sound of SANSUI you will LOVE these!
What may not be as widely known is that the first few generations of Sansui speakers were OEM'd by the Coral Speaker Company. The very earliest Sansui speakers' drivers were even labeled "Coral" on the backs of the drivers.

Coral continued to manufacture the drivers for Sansui in the late 1960's and early 1970's and the "Sansui" name was put on the backs of the drivers. At some point in the 1970's, Sansui stopped sourcing their drivers from Coral and began making their own drivers, but I don't know exactly when this happened.

Anyway, Coral had an excellent reputation and some of their coaxial drivers are highly prized like Tannoy and Hartley drivers and they can sometimes sell for very high prices on eBay.

The Coral BX1200 and BX1500 speakers are very similar to the Sansui speakers of this time period, and a German audiophile publication (can't remember the link) even gave a pretty good review to the BX1200 when they tested them.

So if you like the sound of the more classic Sansui speakers, you will also probably like the sound of these Coral's. The cabinets are scratched in some places but overall these are looking good for as old as they are. The speakers are rated at 100 watts. Each cabinet is 46 lbs. 26" tall x 15" w x 11 1/2" deep. The front grille is reversable. The Model No. on the the 12" 8 ohm drivers (woofers) is 12L-27A and are worth more than $100 if they were sold alone.
