Hi. My name is Annie and my life has been a whirlwind of positives quite recently. I am told I am quite a beautiful dachshund, especially with having one brown eye and one blue eye. My vision is great in case you were wondering. I weigh 13 pounds which is about 3 pounds too many, but I will be starting the Diva Dachshund Diet and I will be even more beautiful than I am now. The best thing that could have ever happened to me was coming into rescue. You see I was thrown away after no longer being needed, but, after being contacted by the shelter this very nice person from CCDR came and took me home. It has all been quite scary, what with new dogs to meet and new people too. Then before I knew it I was at the vet getting spayed and a dental. My teeth were so awful that it was hard to eat. Boy was I happy when I didn't have to have even one tooth pulled! Now my teeth are so very white and my breath smells so good. My life before rescue was not very good and I was not socialized very much since I was having puppies so often. My foster Mom and Dad are great. They are very patient and are helping me come out of my shell. They know that I am a very friendly girl and I am really good. I have not had even one accident in the house so I must have been house trained somewhere in my life. There is this thing that is called a "leash" I am not use to, but I have been a very good student and am learning to walk with the "leash". Because I am shy I need a home without children and because long distance travel would be very stressful on me I was told I do not have to leave Colorado.
