Newfoundland Dog - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog - Mitzi

Mitzi is a beautiful, 3-4 year old, Black, Newfoundland Mix female who was the victim of a cruelty case. She was found chained to a camper, starving, and in horrible physical condition, but sadly there were others that were not as lucky as she was to be saved in time. She gave birth 2 weeks ago, her teeth have all been broken, she has secondary skin infections, and is heartworm positive. Mitzi may not be as big as most of our gentle giants, weighing only 40 lbs currently, but she has a heart of gold and is happy to have found BDHPI so that she can get the care she needs. She is wonderful with other dogs, cats, and kids. She is house trained, crate trained, and her foster family will be working on basic commands. Mitzi is an angel on leash, extremely gentle and loving to all she meets, and she has a mellow, laid back personality. Some family is going to be very lucky indeed to welcome her home as she will give back the love you show her tenfold!
