Local company has an immediate need for an apprentice or journeyman pipefitter for multiple retail projects within the Denver metro area. Candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years refrigeration pipefitting experience, yet recent apprentice graduates will be strongly considered. Compensation is dependent upon one’s experience and qualifications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lay out, assemble, weld, and install copper piping per construction documents, specifications, and the knowledge of applicable regulations
2. Selects and assembles pipe sizes, types, and materials such as supports and hangers according to job requirements / specifications
3. Continued learning through on the job training and reading of equipment / product literature
4. Complete necessary internal documentation such as service tickets, timesheets, and order forms
5. Other duties as assigned by the job foreman / field service supervisor
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Physical ability and knowledge to utilize hand tools applicable to trade such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders / benders
3. Able to climb ladders and perform other job related activities at higher elevations
4. Excellent organizational skills
5. Read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
6. Develop and maintain good customer relationships with all clients and fellow workers
7. A team player who is able to work effectively and independently as job requires
8. Ability to work nights and weekends as required
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
1. Insurable driving record and valid Colorado drivers license
2. Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
3. Must submit to a post offer drug test
