Domestic Short Hair - Medium - Young - Male - Cat - Velcro

Hi, I'm Velcro. Don't come meet me if you aren't ready to fall in love. After all, I'm like a giant teddy bear. One volunteer describes me as a sweet, fat-cheeked, saucy loverboy! Yep, I have the big ol' tomcat jowls. The women here all tell me that makes me cute. They say my jowls get the gals swoonin' every time. What do you think? I came to the MaxFund as a stray. So not much is known about my background, but it's obvious I was a tomcat. Now, though, I am a lovebug. I enjoy not having to hunt for my food, and I am happy to have a warm place to stay at night. What I love the most, though, is the attention you humans give me. I like petting and am a friendly guy. Velcro is a funny name, don't you think? I think they named me that, because I'm so lovable you'll want me to stick like Velcro. I'm not super attached to the name, so feel free to change it when you bring me home. I have tested positive for FIV. So what does that mean? Well, I shouldn't go to a house with a smoker. FIV is not transmittable to dogs or humans. It is transmittable to cats via penetrating bites, so many people have FIV and non-FIV cats living in their house. I get along well with other cats. Some people get scared off by the FIV label, but I hope you aren't one of them. After all, I'm a teddy bear. I am available for foster or ideally a permanent home.
