Howdy, I'm Baxter and I've lived at Maxfund since 2006. This is a great place to live, but I'm ready to try something new, and I think having a home and a family sounds really great. I'm a pretty shy guy, but I'm starting to like attention from you humans... and I'll like you even more if you offer me yummy treats, especially freeze dried salmon. That's good stuff. In fact, I LOVE treats! If you give a treat to another cat, I may just barge right up to the cat, knock him/her out of the way and steal the treat. I can't help it -- I just get so excited!!! What else can I look forward to here? Yummy! I also really like kitty condos with little nooks where I can hang out and observe my surroundings, but I am getting braver all the time. In fact, I now am ok with petting. Don't get aggressive about it, but be calm and gentle, and I'm cool with it. I have really beautiful, soft fur, so I think you'll like petting me. There are multiple black cats in the room. You can tell who I am, because I have a white patch on my chest. I also have a cloudy right eye and big paws. Did I tell you I'm playful? The other day, a fly came in the room. Oh boy! I chased that sucker! I didn't catch it, but it was fun trying. I'd love a patient and loving family. I think with love, I'll really begin to thrive and learn to trust people even more. Care to help me out in that department? I'm a special kitty, and I'm waiting for a special family to come along and take me home. People here tell me I'm quite a looker and I've got a beautiful, shiny coat. Please come see me today. I think spending over two years in a shelter (with no window!) is enough. What do you think? I think it's time for me to go to your house! Thank you!
