Hi, I'm Champa. Guess how I got my name? Well, I was a stray cat living on Champa street here in Denver. For those of you not from Denver, Champa is kind of a big street. After living as a stray for about three months, I got injured. So I was brought to MaxFund to heal. Now I'm waiting for my forever home. Is that with you? I'm a pretty independent guy, but I do enjoy petting. When you enter the room here, I may even be the first to approach you for petting. But I don't need much, and I'll go on my way. I'm told I'm a smart boy. I seem to know my name even though I obviously have only had it for a few months. But if someone says it, I know it. I am also very playful. I especially enjoy string that I can chase and capture. I have tested positive for FIV. So what does that mean? It means I shouldn't live with a smoker. But FIV is not transmittable to dogs or humans, so don't concern yourself with that. The important thing to know is that although I have tested positive for FIV, I can still live a long and healthy life. The volunteers here say I'm a good boy. In fact, I had an eye bugger the other day (similar to how people get eye buggers from sleeping). I just sat perfectly still while someone got it out of my eye. She said I was a perfect gentleman. Did I tell you I like treats? Yep, those are my favorite. Do I sound like the perfect match for you? I sure hope so, because I am ready to go to your home right away. Please don't make me wait long.
