Long the flagship of the Mercedes Benz line, the 600 series is rich in tradition and exclusivity. Very subtle differces on the outside set this car apart from it's closely related 500 series, mainly the small chrome V12 badges. Once inside one clearly feels elevated to a different and higher standard. The entire dash, center console and entire door panels are trimmed in rich leater and hand stiched for a perfect fit. The Walnut wood veneer is found everywhere, including the rear seat passenger mirrors and the pull handles as well as the S600 exclusive wood and leather steering wheel. The leater seats, both heated and cooled front AND rear, are supple and free of any and all imperfections. Driver and front passenger will enjoy 17 way adjustable seats, special lumbar and massage settings as well as Navigation, 6 Disc Bose Sound and XM radio. If this car was not as much of a joy to drive, I would prefer sitting in the rear where I have heated and cooled power seats with 5 lumbar positions, power sundhade, numerous compartments for storage, vanity mirrors and enough room to fully strech my leg's out. The lucky new owner of this car can choose a variety of suspension and transmission settings to enhance the driving experience. The V12 power is astonishing, yet smooth and over a weekend averaged 19.3 MPG! Push this car hard, and it will not flinch, especially in turning manuvers, as it is equipped with Mercedes Benzs' Active Body Control (ABC Sport). Other suspension modes allow the driver to raise and lower the car as well for more clearance. It is almost hard to believe this car sold for well over $115,000 new and now you can puchase it for the price of a used Suabaru Forrester. This car is alsmost flawless in every respect, do not miss this one.
