Zebra finches are among the most popular finches kept as pets. They are fairly easy to care for, so are a good choice for a new bird owner. Zebra finches are active and fun to watch. Their vocalizations consist of chirps and peeps that most people find pleasant. They need a moderately large cage in order to have room to fly and they are social so they need to be housed in groups of 2 or larger. We have a total of 7 zebra finches, they do not all have to be adopted out to the same home, but they are social so they need to be housed in groups of 2 or more.
